Abstract
In light of climate change, education for sustainable development is important for learners to develop competences for sustainable management to overcome these threats. In order to develop such competences, learners need to apply their knowledge in specific authentic situations. E-Learning modules are suitable for the topic of sustainable management since they ensure application orientation and allow the modeling of these authentic situations. In these situations, learners can apply their knowledge and develop competences for sustainable management. However, existing research about designing such modules is limited. To close this research gap, we conduct a qualitative interview study with 23 experts in the field of E-Learning and sustainability. Thereby, we deduce eight requirements for designing E-Learning modules for sustainable management. We found that the Anchored Instruction approach matches all these requirements. Thereby, we deviate eight didactic and five functional design principles to design these E-Learning modules.
