Biography
Alex Röll studied Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology with a focus on tropical forests. For his PhD, he focused on the ecohydrological consequences of rainforest transformation to rubber and oil palm plantations in Indonesia. He continues to do so as a PostDoc, and is currently involved in developing and testing ways to assess water use characteristics based on drone-based photogrammetry and thermography. Alex Röll is involved in teaching courses related to forest ecology, agroforestry and silviculture at the Forest Faculty.
