- Abstract
- GEO-LEO ist ein zentrales Recherchewerkzeug zum System Erde und Weltall. Als integrierendes Internetportal dient es zum Nachweis gedruckter und elektronischer Informationsressourcen der Sondersammelgebietsbibliotheken in Freiberg und Göttingen sowie anderer fachrelevanter Anbieter. Zudem bietet es der Fachgemeinschaft eine Publikationsplattform für digitale Dokumente im Sinne des Open Access an. Das Portal, welches auf moderner Open Source Software basiert, stellt eine gute Basis für eine Webpräsenz eines zukünftigen astro-, geo- und montanwissenschaftlichen Fachinformationsdienstes für Deutschland dar.
GEO-LEO provides an integrated search on printed and digital information resources of the special subject collections in the libraries at Freiberg and Göttingen as well as of other providers. In addition it includes an open access repository. GEO-LEO, using modern open source software, appears as a valuable tool for a website of a future Scientific Information Service in context of Astronomy, Geology, Mining and related subjects for Germany. - Issue Date
