Chitinobelus acifer Fischer 1981, ein Belemnoteuthide (Coleoidea) mit Epirostrum

Abstract

The "unusual belemnite" Chitinobelus acifer FISCHER with an "almost purely organic, pinlike epirostrum" and a "calcitic primary rostrum" (FISCHER 1981: 142) is attributed to the order Belemnoteuthida STOLLEY 1919. Carbonate diagenesis suggests that ortho- and epirostrum, were originally aragonitic.

Der von FISCHER (1981) beschriebene "ungewöhnliche Belemnit" Chitinobelus acifer, mit einem "nadelförmigen, fast rein organischen Epirostrum" und einem "kalzitischen Primärrostrum" (FISCHER 1981: 142) wird zur Ordnung Belemnoteuthida STOLLEY 1919 gestellt. Aufgrund der Karbonatdiagenese läßt sich ein aragonitisches Ortho- und Epirostrum folgern.
