- Abstract
- This policy brief explains why gender inequality matters for development and inclusive growth. It identifies knowledge gaps in general and with particular focus on Central and West Asia, a heterogeneous set of countries where the different dimensions of gender inequality are of particular relevance. This brief highlights examples of linking gender-based analysis and policy planning from across the world. It proposes a strategy to enhance the generation and analysis of data on gender inequalities and their impact on development outcomes.
